and Lucas met while both were living in Salt Lake City,
Utah. After a year and a half of dating, Lucas was offered
a job in Denver. A week before Kim moved to Denver to
join Lucas, her friends and family threw her a farewell
party at her sister's house in Salt Lake City. About an
hour after her guests started to arrive, Kim noticed a
guy in a black suit walking up the driveway with one of
her friends. After a minute, she realized it was Lucas!
He had secretly arranged to fly in to Utah the night before
to surprise her at the farewell party.
Lucas walked up the driveway and dropped
to his knee and then presented Kim with an enagement ring.
It was a very special night for both of them, especially
since Kim is not surprised easily!
Kim and Lucas were married a year later
at the Chapel at the Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado.
