When
should we choose the tuxedos?
This is influenced by the time of year. We recommend that
the Bride and/or Groom select the tuxedo styles and colors
at least two months before the wedding. However, it is
never too early to book your tuxedos. We are happy to
offer a try on appointment for the Groom. We will bring
in the chosen ensemble in the Groom's size so he can try
it on and get a feel for the style, color and fit. The
try on appointments are not available between mid-March
and June 1st due to the heavy volume of tuxedos rented
for Prom Season.
Can I Measure Myself for a Tuxedo
Rental?
It may seem really simple to measure yourself for a tuxedo,
but it is actually next to impossible to acquire accurate
measurements when you try to measure yourself. An inaccurate
measurement that may be off by only an inch may get you
a tuxedo coat that's one or two sizes too big or small.
It's best to count on an authorized Jim's Formal Wear
Retailer to measure you for your formal affair, or a professional
tailor.
What Do I Do About Tuxedos For Little
Boys?
Every one of our Tuxedo Styles starts at boys'
size 3. If you're thinking of including a little guy in
your wedding party, we'll be able to offer a style in
his size. The price for boys tuxedos is based on the style
being ordered. Ask one of our Tuxedo Specialists for advice
in fitting your little guy. We will do a growth check
two weeks prior to the event to assure a good fit, as
children can have large growth in a short amount of time.
Do all of
the men wear exactly the same tuxedo?
It is not required that all the men in your party dress
exactly the same. In fact, in many cases, they do not.
Often times the groom will be in a different style or
a different vest and tie. Many times the fathers and grandfathers
will wear something slightly different than the groom
and his attendants. The only real guideline to remember
is this: keep the formality the same as that of the ladies
in the party.
Are Tuxedos Available in Other Colors?
While black is the traditional color for wedding party
tuxes, many of Jim's styles are also available in other
colors such as chocolate brown, tan, grey and white. Please
stop in to speak with one of our consultants or visit
www.jimsformalwear.com
to see all the available colors.
Do All the Tuxes in the Party Need
To Be The Same Color?
The bride and groom are the stars of the show, therefore
the look of the party is determined primarily by their
preference. The primary basis when choosing colors and
styles for your wedding party is balance. Accents that
tie in other colors used in the wedding are a good way
to balance the party.
What If We Are Having a Destination
Wedding?
When renting tuxedos the store in which they are rented
is where they will need to be picked up and returned.
If your wedding is taking place in a state or country
outside where you live, then please take this into consideration.
If you will need your party's tuxedos longer than five
days, an extended rental will likely be needed and the
extended rental fee will apply. Please see one of our
specialists for more information.
Do I Need To Make An Appointment?
It is recommended that the groom and/or bride schedule
an appointment to choose the colors and styles for their
party. This is also when the groom can get his measurements
taken and give the names of all the gentlemen in your
party that are ordering a tuxedo. It is also recommended
that each party member schedule a time to come in to the
store to get their measurements taken. Walk ins are always
welcome and will be assisted as efficently as possible. |
